Brazilian President Luiz InĂ¡cio Lula da Silva has suggested today, January 18, to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, the creation of a sort of ministers committee involving both countries to coordinate humanitarian aid in Haiti, devastated by an earthquake on January 12.
Sounds like Lula. Gee, I wonder if he thought about this statement before he made it? So, what he is saying, is we should wait until we find out if the Haitian authorities even still exist before we do anything about distributing any water and food. Is this a correct assessment of the statement?
Obviously, Lula has not been in contact with anyone in Haiti.
