Lula told Obama that the distribution of water and food to those in need should be done by Haitian authorities themselves. However, Lula argued that it is necessary to assess whether they will be able to accomplish this task.

Sounds like Lula. Gee, I wonder if he thought about this statement before he made it? So, what he is saying, is we should wait until we find out if the Haitian authorities even still exist before we do anything about distributing any water and food. Is this a correct assessment of the statement?

Obviously, Lula has not been in contact with anyone in Haiti.
OK, let's all get behind . . .

the international cries for the fair and equitable distribution of control of the relief efforts in Haiti! What they all seem to be clamoring about is the U.S. has taken control of the relief efforts, including the airport.

So . . . . what they want, is for t he U.S. to sign a blank check, and get the hell out of the way so they can create all the chaos they want, including withdrawing our security forces, and allow the looters, rioters, and general thugs to control the situation, seeing as how they are Haitians, and have more right to be in control of the situation.

And of course let's not forget we don't really need anyone in control of air traffic. The pilots of course can sort that out amongst themselves who gets to land when and where, right?

No Problem
