Another big yawn from Washington. Organization of Banana Republics.
The assembled heads of state couldn't, together, cook rice. Comedy.

Of Course you would say something as ignorant as your statement suggests, nevertheless... This group will do ecxatly what its setting to do which is to make sure their interests around the world is heard and secured, without the interferance of countries that DO NOT have their interests in mind or at heart when sitting at the negotiation table.

You racist prick!

Yup its true.. Its the little guys group and they are going to keep being the little guys until they decide to move on from the selfish and discriminatory US of A...

Look at the OAS for instance, Latin American countries have been part of that organization and apart from a few countries.. Costa Rica, Chile and Brazil everyone of them haven't progressed much at all... So what good is the OAS for Latin America?

This will be a great strategic move and they will now have their own voice...

No one is living in the past anymore, soon you'll see that in Latin America unity and progress can exist.

THE FUTURE WILL BE THERE...

Luigi: I appreciate your laconic humor: and there is a moment of truth in your dark humor.
Leo: on the other hand, I also appreciate your general sentiment: makes sense for South America to work together more. Yet I loud-mouthed unstable leaders like Chavez will divide more than unite nations. I am American, and on the far Left. I am happy to see so many progressive heads of state in S. America now, yet on the other hand, many are incompetent, corrupt, immature, and divisive. I also, think S. American leaders should find a way to have it both ways: unite S. America, yet also unify with North America. And I don't mean welcome imperialist adventures. No, find ways to bridge the gap between working and middle class Americans in North and South America. I get sick of all the nationalist trash on this site that pits one against the other. We are not your enemies. The cold war is dead. Revise your political ideologies.
