Guarulhos airport in São Paulo, Brazil Brazil has just announced investments equivalent to US$ 3.2 billion to upgrade airports in anticipation of the 2014 World Soccer Cup and then the 2016 Olympics, one of the most sensitive issues for the massive infrastructure needed to handle millions of foreign visitors.

Clever Lula fooling the Brasilians again! The rest of the world managegs to pull it off, but dont stress too much as I dont think too many people will be coming and if they do it will have no long term positive effects on the country. Brasil has too many problems mainly due to the passive nature of its inhabitants, I am sure that Brasil may have a few fans that will come but they will not invest and stay unlike say the London olympics- basically another party and the use of the cheap girls locally wake up Brasilians see the rest of the world then maybe just maybe you may life in a different way.
I dunno how . . . . .

They think they're going to make up for 2 1/2 lost years. The major construction projects I have seen here in the NE take forever to see any progress.

Lula last week said that "it seems some people believe that those organizing the 2014 Cup in Brazil are a bunch of idiots", adding that "ignorance sometimes makes people forget that there's a forced bureaucratic ritual" for the liberation of funds to begin the works.

Lula must be the one forgetting things here. Like, who's fault is it that this bureaucracy still operates exactly the same after 8 years of his government?

If things don't change drastically, (and they never have in Brazil) they are going to be more than 2 1/2 years behind when it's time to play the games.
