I don't know if you have seen the movie "Saving of Pvt.Ryan" , the main actor being Tom Hanks. In that movie, the American G.I´s hear the songs of Edith Piaf over the radio and Tom Hanks had to explain to them who the singer was. Edith was a great singer and we have a CD with her famous songs. What a great voice that lady had. When we arrived at the appartment, he then told me this was the ex Theo Sarappo appartment. Appartment paid by Piaf...of course...and where they resided while together. Theo Sarappo was loved by Edith Piaf. But he was much much younger than her. He even became (may be he was already...I dont recall) a singer himself due to the Piaf love affair ! Because let me say this on Brazilian beaches : Most Brazilian beaches are dirty, full of garbage and not cleaned. Most French beaches are great, with not as much garbage, because cleaned EVERY NIGHT by mechanical cleaners during the mid and high season. That is one of the reasons high income or wealthy people will enjoy far more the French beaches rather than Brazilian beaches. Just look at the stats. France has the World Highest Incoming foreign tourists ! Paris remains the most beautiful city on earth for tourists. France has also some trendy ski resorts but not as good as in Switzerland but they have beaches that we dont have. Finally, once more just guess why the Bold & Beautiful people around the world enjoy so much being in my country.
