I will take a middle ground here and say while I don't personally believe in abortion (unless the pregnancy was caused by rape, would risk the woman's life), I feel that every woman should be legally free to decide whether to continue a pregnancy or not, for whatever reason. Also, I don't think making abortion illegal has necessarily stopped the practice:women in countries where the procedure is illegal simply terminate their pregnancies "under the table," so to speak. Better sex education and access to birth control would do a lot more to stop abortion than restrictive legislation. - Emilia Murphy

i think that aboation should be legal and that its not wrong to have one. having an abortion doesn't mean that one is a murderer or has not heart. i think that is would be selfish to bring a child to this earth and not be able to care for it. having an aboprtion when a person is not ready to have a child, is doing the humane thing. also if the person does make the disicion to have an abortion, we should respect them, becasue we do not know what is going on in there life. - unknown

There is already enough slaughter of children in Brasil. Please wake up to what this is saying about our humanity.
In essence, we in the US have said that life is worthless as long as it is defenseless. Where are those who stand up for the poor, the needy, the underprivileged?
I grew up in Brasil, and the one thing that always stands out in my mind about the Brasilian people is that they love children and will stop anything to delight in a child and protect it from harm. I know that has not changed, and I pray that it never will.
Stand your ground, Brasil, and do not give in to the pressures from the UN or anyone else to change your courageous position on the preciousness of human life.
