This is not unconstitucional. The parties leadears called a legislative meeting and due the small number of congress politicians, they decided about the raise among them. - acauã the superhero

"Finally, a sign of normalcy if you can call the politicians giving themselves a raise through a process their own Supreme Court declared unconstiutional is normal. "

Finally, a sign of normalcy if you can call the politicians giving themselves a raise through a process their own Supreme Court declared unconstiutional is normal. Guess during the last election no one thought about asking any politician what his opinion was about getting a 92% raise. Perhaps a direct referendum by the people and not the politicians is the fairest way to resolve an issue like that, but of course that would never happen in most countries except a few in Europe who do it that way. However, Bravo for the people and the court for reversing this, now let's see what happens. I don't think the politicians will go quietly into the night .. - alltheway

Its been two days now that the current news over the political shifting on the parliament wage rise has around and has not been updated here. Union leaders have protested, students have protested, a lonely retired man has protested, tons of people protested through internet writing the congressmen their indignation.. Everywhere the pay rise block is announced. Read BBCnews.com for more neutral texts on Brasil... - acauã the superhero
