			<title>Many questions, many answers</title>

			<description>I was near to DFW when 190 bounced off the tank farm.  I have returned to that same airport after it had been closed all day due to straight line winds.  We didn't think we'd get there without a bus ride from a long long way away on top of having had to sit on the tarmac for hours at the origin.  We were happy as heck when word finally came through that we received enroute authorization to proceed there vs the primary.  We were the first craft to be allowed to land when it reopened and also the last for many hours thereafter.  We experienced a yaw moment about 100 feet off the ground you would never believe.   The cheers and elation that went up when we were firmly on the runway beat anything I can remember.  Even the roars and cheers of 77,000 plus fans in a stadium rated for a few less than that during a game between long time rivals with much goof ball referee calls and miracleous trick plays that worked just doesn't compare.  Weather will be and do whether you want it to or not - it's a gamble folks.  Fly only on sunny, calm and dry days?  Only when the bird and all it's parts are brand new but field proven?  Only when the crew has umpteen billion relevant take offs and landings on those specific runways but are only twenty / thirty something, well rested, focused, in good spirits and at peace regarding every thing in their lives?  Would having at least the perception of having half again as much length available in the runway made a difference in the last critical decision?

Perfection across the board with no seemingly irrelevant or potentially less than 100% certo decision making having any sway: Don't fly!

			<title>Pilot Fatigue</title>

			<description>I know a TAM pilot that said that his work schedule was very long and he didn't have much personal time. Also about 20 years ago I had a conversation with a lady that said her sister's son was a TAM pilot, but gave up flying as he rarely saw his family.  I wonder how long the pilots had been on duty and how much sleep they had the previous days. - Deheza</description>
