Further shaking Brazilians' confidence, authorities said they had mistaken a piece of the fuselage from Tuesday's accident for the flight recorder and sent it to the United States for analysis.

Agreed Pinga, if it wasn't so tragic you could make this into a comedy that no one would believe could ever be possible. I can imagine the looks on the faces of both the american and brazilian authorities in Washington when the brazilians handed over a part of the fuselage for examination!!!

Congressional investigations turned up holes in the country's radar coverage; antiquated equipment and flight controllers with only rudimentary knowledge of English.

And despite all the evidence and discoveries made, the brazilian congress decided that the american pilots were primarily responsible for the accident.......unreal. - bo

Probably , the "experts", consisted of your beloved pal Pires and his chronies. You should put it into the head of Pires, that it is time for him to quit and return to his favorite position. ALWAYS IN THE OPPOSITION. - João da Silva

Further shaking Brazilians' confidence, authorities said they had mistaken a piece of the fuselage from Tuesday's accident for the flight recorder and sent it to the United States for analysis. :-\

If this accident wasn't so tragic, the bumbling behind the scences would be great fodder for a slapstick comedy. How could any group that mistakes a peice of fuselage for a black box also conclude that the "meerriiikkkans" were at fault with 1907? You´ve blown all your credibility Brazil. Not like there was much to start with.

Sadly, good people die because of stupidity and incompetence. And will continue to do so until something changes.
