do business, day to day, outside of brazilian legislation...and banco central just sits by and watches it all. Yet more laws that are nothing more than words on paper and "cumprimento" is a word that is only used while telling jokes! - bo

Getting a Brazilian banking licence is getting a licence to steal legally.....just as much as those who have provided the licences.
And of course with Lula pride and blessings !

On the other hand, BNDES provides subsidized loans to ALL your export industries...including to farmers and agro-companies !.
Funny then that Brazil criticizes subsidizes provided by developed nations only to their farmers...and no other industry !

Conclusion : never ever trust a Brazilian.

Legal Exstorsion

Like all banks in Brazil, exstorsion is legal! This is the place where you pay 10% or more interest PER MONTH and where bank fees are some of the highest in the world. There is no protection for the consumer nor is their customer service for those who need help. We had a 50K investmen t held up by the banks for 10 days here (by ITAU specifically) for "paperwork" while they were using the money to make more money and hurting the growth of our business.....SECRET: LIVE IN BRAZIL BUT KEEP YOUR MONEY IN NON BRAZILIAN banks or you will be sorry. - Joseph
