Looks like you have no idea what you are talking about land and farm prices in Brazil, despite you are Brazilian.

Prices are ALREADY near a Bubble prices !

Will it go higher ? Why not.

BUT NOT FOR LONG !
I knew you would not resist giving your opinion ;) The idea was to flush you out!!

btw, I (nor Dnbaiacu) was talking about the farm prices just only in Bahia or Brazil in general. We were talking in a broader context (of UnaSur). Remember, DNB, Ricardo and I were discussing about UnaSul and the proposed new currency as well its implications on the "New World Order".

You should take more interest in Geopolitics :D ;D ;) - João da Silva

The world most wealthiest countries have nothing in thbeir grounds....everything in their brains.

I can only suppose that God has put something in your grounds....to compensate what is lacking in your brains.

And as to your half brain, you are firmly convinced that commodities can only go UP.
Proof that you have only half a brain, since you already have forgotten that prices ALSO go down....for years.
Short or Nooo memory........idiots ? - ch.c.

Yeah,, there won't be a dull moment from here on out. It is really going to start getting predictable. A global chess game.
Gas is killing us here. And there is no end in sight.
I wonder how the summer olympics will be affected by the recent earthquake?
You're right! Land anywhere your currency is stronger is a winner as the global economies unify.
What I find so interesting is that you "have" to keep up with everything to even begin to understand it. And a lot of that involves "time" , that only a privleged few have. Most are running around trying to survive or hold on to what they have.
I watch CNN all day and do you think they "mentioned" UnaSur? .. NO!
You have to be online to know what is going on these days.
Anyway ,, good to hear from you.. Keep us informed - dnbaiacu

Joao,, I'm no prophet

Thanks for the interesting and enlightening comments. As we both always have said, this is the year 2008 is the time to sit back and watch the show.If you have enough cash, buy farmlands before the prices sky rocket.

Can anyone guess what SAU's currency will be named?

Ricardo has already given it a name when he made the following comment:

The European Union has the "Euro" and the South American Union will have the "Bankrupt". ;) - João da Silva

They are just preparing for the collapse of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency. As it sits, they trade amongst themselves mostly in US dollars. Some even use US dollars as currency. That's a big problem going forward.

When the gulf nations release the pegs, its going to put that much more pressure on others to escape the collateral damage the dollar's demise will cause.

Its just a cycle, and they are smart to move sooner rather than later.

The first commentator "Dnbaiacu" may turn out to be prophetic!
I just read the Bible and I love geopolitics and economics. It is really all written out.. Just get popcorn and sit back and watch the show ;)
South America is OFFICIALLY in the game now.. It's not about Brazil . Nationalists shouldn't be so vain. The bomb will be dropped soon on the U.S with the North American Union. NAU. They just have to get us broke and tired for us to be able to accept it without much revolt.
People "want to end the time they live in" so they can have a better world for themeselves and their children.
This "Professor of History " is dellusional. Sort of reminds of the "moral relativist" that I blogged with before. The "movers and shakers" as he calls them,,(those that think prophecy is hocus pocus) are bringing in their NEW WORLD ORDER.. and fast. This is what is so amazing. These things have been on the board for years. And they are systematically dropped on everyone (not paying attention) out of nowhere.
There's no need to change currencies just peg them.
Just read Revelation chapter 17 and 18 and you will see the future.
All these unions are just new terriotories that will give their allegiance to the UN. Any country that doesn't will be left out of the loop.
Guess who is going to be left to resolve the mess of the Middle East?....
The UN.
Will the so- called "Islamic terrrorists" go out without a fight??..
NO!

There is a new world waiting to be forged becasue the old system you guys created and seek to maintain is morally bankrupt and incapable of meeting domestic and global needs.

Get Real!
And the new regime is supposed to be any different???
They all bleed red blood.. And everyones poop stinks. MAN Himself is "incapable of meeting domestic and global needs". We're imperfect. Inherently selfish at "BEST". So much for "Moral Relativism".
This is the whole point of the last 6,000 years of human history. ( I am sure someone will want to dispute that) ;)
Something so simple to see, but yet "PROFESSORS " don't get it.

The best thing an average person can do is buy property wherever in the world their currency is "currently" stronger. And flip it.
Of course ,, not that this is going to "save" anyone. But at least the average Joe can stay afloat for a little while.

Anyway , Latin America can just look forward to some regional crises to REALLY seal the deal. Get all the dissidents quiet. Everyone on a united front. And proceed with the plan.
This is a global takeover. With bigger forces than most people would ever imagine.
I am just wondering how broke and tired they have to get us here in North America before they drop the bomb on us?
The Amero is real.
Can anyone guess what SAU's currency will be named? (assuming they will change the currency) - dnbaiacu

The discussion It is turning into a pissing contest in the other forum.

Anyway, the MercoSur it is just a group of countries that made agreements to facilitate the inter country commerce among the members of that group.

The South America Union is a different animal all together - basically the main purpose of that type of agreement it is to form a new country with a new currency, a Central Bank, a new constitution, and so forth.

It makes sense for the Spanish countries of South America to form such an union, but it does not make sense to include also Brazil.

Hi Ricardo,

I did go through the comments in the above mentioned forum and the reaction of some members to your sarcastic (re Hugo),but objective comments was more emotional than rational. I understood your position perfectly .Before making further comments, I would really like to hear the answers to my questions put forth to Dr.Salvador Rivera, especially regarding the difference between MercoSur and UnaSur. - João da Silva

Joao check out the discussion on this other forum about the SAU.

On this forum my screen name is SouthAmerica. That does not mean I am in favor of the SAU.

These guys who are in favor of this SAU are getting nastier with their postings and I will have to say things that I prefer to keep to myself, but I never have back down to any fight and I am not going to start now.

UNASUR is a great deal for Brazil.

Please do list all the benefits this "great deal" will bring to Brasil.

There is a new world waiting to be forged becasue the old system you guys created and seek to maintain is morally bankrupt and incapable of meeting domestic and global needs.

Who are the "you guys" ? Franco,Peron,Stroessner,Vargas, etc;?

The Christian Democratic parties support the new UNASUR.

The Christian Democratic parties of what countries?

Everyone in the world knows the state system as we know it is unsustainable as evinced by the United States and the European Union, which are ultimately Common Markets.

We already have a common market called Mercosul or Mercosur. So what is the purpose of creating UnaSul?

I am anxious to hear your answers. We already have professors from Harvard, Sorbonne and other reputable domestic and foreign learning institutions chalking the destiny of Brasil. I guess the opinions of a professor from SUNY will certainly help to correct the course!

UNASUR is a great deal for Brazil. People calling for the return of Castelo Branco or the Cisplatine Republic are delusional. There is only one Latin American nation fragmented into many states. The differences in language are insignificant, as they are in the European Union or the U.S. Get over it! There is a new world waiting to be forged becasue the old system you guys created and seek to maintain is morally bankrupt and incapable of meeting domestic and global needs. Where is your idealism? The Christian Democratic parties support the new UNASUR. Histocially, the United States has also supported a Latin American Common Market. Get over it!! It is possible to recreate a better world. Everyone in the world knows the state system as we know it is unsustainable as evinced by the United States and the European Union, which are ultimately Common Markets. People "want to end the time they live in" so they can have a better world for themeselves and their children. - Salvador Rivera

I still in shock with the news of the formation of this SAU.

I did read about it over the years, but I never thought this thing it would amount to much.

Thank you for the information about Sao Paulo Forum - sorry about my ignorance, but this is the first time I heard of this group.

I wonder why this people had to use the name of my state and town - Sao Paulo - as the name of their group. They are going to stain the name of my home town with this group.

I searched on Google and I found the following:

The Sao Paulo Forum: is there a new Latin American left?

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1132/is_n7_v44/ai_13272604

I hope there are other groups in Brazil that were organized to stop this non-sense.

Brazil don't need this SAU.

Ricardo, thanks for reassuring me that there are still some sane Brazilians. Your ancestor Bonifácio would have been proud of you.

The only country that Brazil should consider adding to Brazil it is Uruguay, because Uruguay used to belong to Brazil until 1828. (Provincia Cysplatina.)

Spot on Ricardo. You must have been a pretty good student of history!!

I agree. They create a new Spanish Union and we stay neutral, going around minding our own business. The Xenophobia being spewed (and propagated) by the lefties is driving lots of us crazy.

Brazil is twice as big as the European Union.

Brazil has all the resources to become a major player.

I wrote about the creation of such a union a few years ago - and I even made a suggestion for the name for the currency of such block of countries - The Bankrupt.

The European Union has the "Euro" and the South American Union will have the "Bankrupt".

The only country that Brazil should consider adding to Brazil it is Uruguay, because Uruguay used to belong to Brazil until 1828. (Provincia Cysplatina.)
