But again I, you and your friends are simple citizens and none of us have high levels of official government jobs !!!
And this has nothing to do with oppostion political parties. Because your "rightists" at the government level have as much arrogance as your leftists.
Thanks for showing solidarity :D
Indeed, once they get elected, the lefties, rightists or centrists all become arrogant and sit on high pedestals! btw, there are plenty of uneducated(or semi educated) idiots in those "opposition" parties as well. >:(
And I bet that Jon parents or grand parents are themselves .....old immigrants in Brazil !
But coming from an idiot, no one should be surprised that HE criticizes HIS own family history !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ch.c, at times you also show your senility. Our buddy Jon is an Alberty from Canada and I don't think that his ancestors were born or live in Brazil. He might have his children living here, as once he mentioned that he likes Bahia :D ;D ;) - João da Silva

and to the idiot who wrote "Alot of Italian dispora in Brazil, Canada, Us, etc..they ran away to get way from the "hot air" of their leaders " what about the millions of Brazilians leaving outside Brazil...preferring to be illegal elsewhere than legal in their own country ????????? Even ready to pay US$ 10'000.- to enter "HELL" and leave "PARADISE" ! Strange isnt it ? Why should anyone be ready to pay to leave....paradise ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Idiots are by the tens of millions in Brazil.....such as Jon !!!!!!

Funny too that these ex-foreigners have built the wealthiest and most developed areas in Brazil !
Were would you stand by now.....without them ???????? Even less developing...by defintion !
And I bet that Jon parents or grand parents are themselves .....old immigrants in Brazil !

Thanks for the reply and you are 100% correct about the "exclusive club". All these G(m) does is to meet every year during Northern Hemisphere summer and decide to meet again the next year :D
The difference between them and me is that they have official high levels jobs needing diplomatic wording !
I have therefore more freedom ! Simple !
I wish lot more Brazilians would do the same, instead of putting such "high officials" on a high pedestal and currying favors from them!!
And fact is that even in the Mercosur......Brazil is hatred...for the same reasons !
Just ask to people in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay who they hate the most ?
Do the same with people in Bolivia, Peru, Chile......just to name a few others !!!!!
I would rather say that the Brazilian government´s one sided trade policies are "questioned" by many countries. Not only in the countries you have mentioned but by our new "trading partners". I think that we have discussed this before citing China and India as such "partners". Unfortunately, instead of easing the trade between Brazil and other countries by coming out with some sensible and practical policies and letting B and B to negotiate, the government seems to be keen on acting as intermediary between B and B!! Of course for obvious reasons ;)
Could the G8 members and its people say the same against the arrogant wordings from Bin Lula ???????????????????????????????????
They could and SHOULD!!!. I have heard many of my friends and relatives complaining that we really do not have a strong opposition party ;) :D ;D - João da Silva

Right. The Italo and German Brazilians in our Southern states "ran away" from Europe to contribute to the development of Brazil. If you travel in the interior of these states, you will find some fine people.

One of our former PMs, Paul Martin, was keen on expanding the G8, understanding the world order is changing..but he lost to Harpy.

I do remember Paul Martin and always thought he was talking sense! Well, at least you have a parliamentary system and well educated and questioning population and you can easily get rid of Harpy! (I liked the nickname)!!
we will throw our support behind a new G (insert number)
I fully agree with Ch.c about the numbers of members in G(m), where m can be 0 to n. Also with his reply to my comments on Berlusconi.

btw, do you think "Gringo" is really Paul Martin living in exile here? ;) - João da Silva

you do not reflect the stance of your government!.

The difference between them and me is that they have official high levels jobs needing diplomatic wording !

I have therefore more freedom ! Simple ! :D ;D

But recently when the USA where against the energy deal my country signed with Iran (yessssss and a large one).....our economic minister answered "mind your business" to America !!!

This said on Berlusconi, dont be surprised. This is his style !

Now to be more open with you there is the G8, the G20, the G4 and many others !
Have you already heard Switzerland say how unfair it is they are not in the G8 - G 20 or whatever ???? Not to my knowledge !
And the USA or Italy have NOT been invited in the G20 !!!!!
Better yet...if I am not wrong, Canada is in the G8 AND G20.

These G xxx are like exclusive discos. One can become a member....on invitation only..... and all exisiting members must approve all new entrants ! More simple than that there is not !

Wether you like or not wont change anything. Because why is it important for anyone to be in the G8 or G xx ?????
If you look at what they do in reality is....NOTHING concrete !

This said if I had a voting right....the country I would the most oppose to be in my club is.......Brazil !

For the simple reason that Brazil CANNOT be a member of a club....and be as arrogant as it is against its members !!!!
And why would Brazil insists to become a member of a club...that it doesnt like and criticizes SEVERAL TIMES DAILY ??????

In my humble view Lula the Idiot is doing more harm than good to his own country...with his arrogance !
And fact is that even in the Mercosur......Brazil is hatred...for the same reasons !
Just ask to people in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay who they hate the most ?
Do the same with people in Bolivia, Peru, Chile......just to name a few others !!!!!

And finally although I agree with you on the Berlusconi arrogance.....it is quite funny that most Brazilians agree with Lula arrogances that are published here and elsewhere on a regular basis and not on an excepotional basis when Berlusconi is goofing !!!!!

Once more you feel that Lula 1000 arrogances against the G8 members are right but NOT the 1 arrogance of Berlusconi against emerging countries ! Sad and shameful truth ! - ch.c.

I was very saddened , upset and plucking my hair when I read the following news:

Berlusconi não quer ‘emergentes’ no G8

Silvio does not want us to be in G8, nor the Indians, Chinese, nor the South Africans. We understand his position as he is full of "Compressed Hot Air" that he wants to export to all over the world. We do appreciate the Swiss neutrality and not belonging to this despicable G8 (though most of the times, you do not reflect the stance of your government!).

We really don't need that Silvio nor his electors to tell us what to do. Thank God, we can follow the example of Switzerland and remain neutral.

But do you think that we can convince our fellow bloggers from US, Canada, UK, Japan and Germany to pull out of this G8 and make it just G3? That way, we have Russia, France and Italy as new Axis countries with Berlusconi to replace Mussolini as the ultimate leader of this G3?

Italian voters seem to be as naive as ours and that of rest of LatAm.

Any comments on my comments?

But there remain over 25 % of the overall population UNDER NOURRISHED !
Quite a shame in a country that wish to feed the world but is UNWILLING to feed its own society first. - ch.c.
