"It is going to be a major event, very interesting and, at the same time, a provocation for government officials, who will be able to see what can be done, by looking at large-sized projects that were successful worldwide,"

Adriano is absolutely right when he says that it is a "provocation" for the "government officials". However knowing our government officials, I don't think they are going to pay any attention to Thomas Gierlevsen or Adriano.

As for Jerrydrill´s comment:

I am wondering how they are going to fund such a huge project and get away with it.

As the Pearl project is being built in Qatar, there will not be any problem of funding. After all, they are going to use their Petro Dollars wisely.

This is a massive project. I am wondering how they are going to fund such a huge project and get away with it. I think it sounds like a great idea and will bring in plenty of tourism to see the project. I realize it is just an initial project. Hope it goes through though. - jerrydill
