The following are my observations: 1) His original article was in Portuguese and was translated into English and printed in this magazine.If you read the last paragraph again, you will notice that he was pointing out the perils of electing a candidate based on "Populism". Therefore he was referring more to the LatAM countries than to U.S. elections and his original article was not exactly meant to influence the U.S .voters. Considering that his articles are hardly published in this site, I wonder what prompted the editors to do so before the U.S. elections. 2) I have read his other articles about Brazil and I do not consider him as a "Ultra Right" radical out to enslave the "proletariats . He is one of very few journalists who form a responsible "opposition party". Sadly we do not have any real opposition leader nor parties who challenge the actions of the government. 3) Unfortunately, in a country where voters are more influenced by the TV networks and a small percentage reads the Newspapers and News magazines, his views do not weigh that much in their decisions.
