Brazil President Urges Obama to Take Swift Action to Alleviate US Crisis PDF Print E-mail
Written by Newsroom
Friday, 07 November 2008

US President Barack Obama American president-elect Barack Obama needs to act swiftly to solve the economic crisis, said Brazilian President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva speaking before the country's Economic Development Council in Brazilian capital Brasília.

Lula said that Obama "who has won elections with an unprecedented display of political strength in the history of the US, will have to address immediately the US crisis, he must act swiftly to avoid things getting worse."

Nevertheless he hoped "it won't take longer than one year to solve the crisis," because if the crisis lasts longer, "US citizens will start to blame him for their financial woes."

"Now the blame is on the current administration, not in a year's time, but I think Obama is sufficiently intelligent to act quickly and avoid the crisis from spreading further," said the Brazilian president.

However Lula was also quoted saying that the worst of the global financial crisis was over and Brazil now needed to prepare for after the crisis.

Economy minister Guido Mantega also underlined that Obama must act fast if he is to avert "a deep recession," although the "critical phase" of the financial crisis is over, "there's light at the end of the tunnel."

Obama is in a similar situation and with the same challenge as President Franklin Roosevelt in 1933 when he took the country in the midst of the depression that begun in 1929, "but Obama has an advantage: the US economy still is not in a full fledged recession; his challenge is how can he recover the US economy, but fast."

President Lula da Silva also said he hoped a G20 meeting of Finance ministers this week in São Paulo, in southeastern Brazil, would help a little to resolve the global financial crisis.

Finance ministers and central bank chiefs from the world's 20 leading economies will meet in Brazil's largest city from Friday to discuss new regulations for the global financial system.

Brazil wants emerging countries to have a bigger role in the governance of global financial institutions.

Shut Up Already Lula!

Aren't we all sick of the acting or total stupidity on the part of this guy? The more he talks ,the more of a bafoon he becomes smilies/cry.gif Did Daddy Bush have an affair in Brazil to produce a half brother for lil George?!!! Good grief.!
There is nothing a president in the States or anywhere can do to "fix" this crisis. And one day many will realize that it was PLANNED. The TRUTH always is revealed in time. It is a universal law. Who actually sees the truth when it's revealed is another story. Most will stay oblivious to the very end. smilies/cry.gif

Ok,, Let's have a lesson here. And I am sorry if SOME will get offended.

And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished.

In the "Word",, "eating up "FLESHY" parts means "TAKING THE MONEY"!
Now THAT"S what's going to ALLEVIATE the now GLOBAL crisis. Nothing more , nothing less.
By the way,, that HARLOT is RELIGION... ALL OF THEM!
I am almost starting to believe that this was the real reason behing the Iraq invasion. Part drainage of the U.S economy and consequent 'polarizing" of the nation . AND to ultimately DESTABILIZE the middle east region.
HELLO !!! Just what is a U.S troop pullout going to do. ????? smilies/wink.gif smilies/wink.gif
Be VERY Careful what you ask for smilies/wink.gif

My son, fear the Lord and the king. With those who are for a change, do not intermeddle. 22 For their disaster will arise so suddenly, that who is aware of the extinction of those who are for a change? Proverbs 24:21,22

Sound familiar?

That is typically the LULA disease named..... the Brazilian ARROGANCE !
Or said otherwise the Brazilian Inferiority Complexion, same as Chavez and his rethorics against the USA !!!!!

Dont you recall that after the last Bush visit to Brazil, more than once LULA said that Bush called HIM, to get advice ?

Dont forget that as Robin the Crook said......Nooooo one except God could have done a better job than HIM....in Brazil !

Wellll....insanity had already invaded HIM and it is going worse and worse by the day.

No.
It is not question of race, Obama or not .
He did the same with Bush, and all European countries. And funnily even the same with the other emerging nations if you re-read all his speeches and statements !
It is "just" a question of superiority coming from an NON educated...CROOK !!!!
That wants to crook and scam....EVERYONE ON EARTH !!!!!

Just thin twice !

And HIS Disinformation and Propaganda Dept at the Planalto Palacio are quite busy !
Even on this site if you pay attention.

Very sad ! No doubt that it is not any different in Venezuela medias with Chavez World Visions and rethorics !
Funny that in Venezuela, with a relatively low population, with so much oil production and even more reserves....there is SO MUCH POVERTY...IN VIEW OF the high oil prices even at today prices.
Same for Iran !
Ideology sucks most of the country wealth !

Because they obviously need a huge "army" of well paid bureaucrats, politicians, and very large Disinformation & Propagandas BUDGETS !

Where does this end in Brazil ?
Simple example : 5 % OF PAVED ROADS !!!!
But....but...YOU will still get a lot of promises such as the ones made for 30 years that BR 163 will be paved....shortly...it is already budgeted !!!!!
Or the same for Angra 3 !

Now you even have promises to have 40 or 50 ADDITIONAL Nuclear Power Plants...by 2050 !!!!!

I laugh ! You should not ! they are throwing away...YOUR MONEY....NOT MINE !

BUT....BUT......, do you think that His Majesty is trying to dictate hiw own terms to Obama, just because he is half black?

Interesting comment. I WILL go there.
The "appt" of Obama as an elect hopeful was the perfect PUBLIC RELATIONS stunt BECAUSE he is bi-racial. The perfect ACE to trump all cards of bamboozlement. smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/cheesy.gif
It is interesting to note that by "popular vote' the election results were nearly 50/50. Indicating that nearly half of the voting population prefered to see the GOP win despite the staged DEBACLE that was their campaign. Which is coming to light post election highlights.
Race issues run LONG and DEEP in the U.S , Nothing has changed and never will until certain FEARS are done away with ONLY by the GRACE OF GOD smilies/wink.gif. So the infamous "electoral college system" had to insure that things would go AS PLANNED. And subsequently create a nearly LANDSLIDE WIN electorally.
The Powers that be know how pathetically silly we are at our most basic instincts. And they can play against the average persons TOTAL rational as we can see with anyone wanting to vote for McCain and Palin under the current circumstances. smilies/grin.gif smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/grin.gif smilies/cheesy.gif. This is laughable. This means nearly half of the voting populatiion couldn't get past their insecurities and egos. Obama did not win on the "black vote".. TRUST. So you have to give credit to the few that recognized this Public Relations stunt for what it is black and white alike. Some just choosing the "only thing that made sense". And many more opting not to choose at all. LIKE MYSELF!
From the television you'd think we are over here "hugging each other". But nothing could be further from the truth. Lots' of ATTITUDES the next day. Trust that!!! It is comical. And doesn't say much for the overall intelligence of the population. Which of course the "Powers that Be" count on. smilies/wink.gif
The pre -election polls showing a nearly 50/50 popular vote results were off by VERY FEW POINTS. I still laugh that people fall for the hype smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/cheesy.gif. Actually the humane side of me should be crying smilies/cry.gif
But the good thing about it is that if some could only put their "superiority complexes" aside they are realizing that YES something is VERY WRONG with this picture. Actually I think a lot of them see it and it's got them "thinking" for ONCE!
Obama is a poster boy , plain and simple. And it would behoove anyone to figure out what the real agenda is. BECAUSE THERE ALWAYS IS ONE! smilies/cry.gif
People need to understand that these tricks take YEARS to develop. There are "think tanks" behind developments like this.
Mixed race. Half African at that. And with an Arabic name???? PLEASE! It's like slapping America in the face. AND THEY STILL DON'T GET IT!!!! It's a JOKE!!!! No ONE can claim him!!! HA HA!! We are virtually giving you NO CHOICE when you compare Obama to McCain .AND YOU STILL DON'T GET IT! They are sitting back LAUGHING.!!!! The Devil loves it! He puts all the evidence IN YOUR FACE and you CAN"T SEE.

Sounds like a CIA arrangement , or something to that effect happened over 40 years ago. The powers that be aren't idiots. They all the power in the world. And plenty of time. They play on our basic instincts. That's why your only defense IS to elevate your CONSCIOUSNESS . smilies/wink.gif smilies/wink.gif

I voted for McCain and I surprisingly find your comments to be the antithesis of- the spirit in which President Obama wants US ALL to pull together towards- and- your track record of dignified and insightful commentary.
I believe in limited government (including spending), low taxation, responsible government oversight, and a STRONG foreign policy. My leaving the Republican party three years ago (they actually left me) was the direct result of the absence of the above principles.
Barack Obama is now my president and I support him wholeheartedly. My ego is nowhere close to wishing him failure in the name of ideology. How ironic, since, I'm right in the cross hairs of his misguided tax policy- which places fairness above revenue generation. His race is irrelevant (as was Colin Powell's, Condoleeza Rice's).

Brazil President Urges Obama to Take Swift Action to Alleviate US Crisis
written by aes, November 08, 2008
Obama's ability to take 'swift action' is limited to after January 20, 2009 as he is at present merely the President elect rather than the President. His assembled staff is quite formidible, there is however nothing he can do for the markets for the next 10 weeks. It is however time enough for the markets to tank for GM to go bankrupt and for millions of people to become unemployed and investment wise and retirement wise poorer to the point of clinical depression. The lame duck Congress however, does have the capacity to fiddle with the economy with a 'new' stimulus package and they can further drive the economy into an economic wall of printed paper.

I believe in limited government (including spending),

You "believe" in the system.. Which is an example of the innate human need to "believe" in something. Yourself , the dollar,,a tree,,,something. A man will "idolize" something.

My comments are definetly no attack on Obama personally as a fellow human being. In fact he looks like a cool guy I wouldn't mind having as a friend , intelligent as he is. BUT he is plugged into a "system'' that behind the scenes has "evil" intent.
I find it funny the attacks raised against Obama being a promoter of "socialism". The such said "socialist" regime was being put in place starting with the first BAILOUT. THIS CURRENT administration is laying the foundation for whatever socialism is due to come. There was no stopping it if anyone wanted to.

[Exactly whom are the "powers that be" that you are referring to?

God love you. /quote]

Powers that be??? No particular race , but an ENTITY. Led by a relatively small group that voluntarily opt in their quest for POWER to recieve instructions via the stars and psychic contact with higher forms of life that have rebelled against the "God" you speak of.
Who lead the "wise men" (magi or astrologers) to the infant Jesus?
They found him by the "stars" . And the mission was to report back to Herod so that he could have the child KILLED. God was not behind the apparent "SUCCESS" of the magi finding the infant Jesus DAYS JOURNEY AWAY..
Taking out the "spiritual factor". Do you really think that with the insecurities that prevail in many individuals and nations that some with POWER aren't looking out for their OWN best interests? There are problems with pollution, over population, ( due to mismanagement of the earths resources) and AIDS. Do you think that there is not a "think tank" around that only has their OWN interests in mind...... OF COURSE!!!!!
And let's take it a little further.. Do you think that Brazil , outside of it's natural resources of course,, is high on its list of priorities in respects to the benefits of Brazils citizens in general?? .....NOT!
BUT you must BELIEVE. smilies/smiley.gif Whether it is because you WANT to or it is due to a lack of knowledge ,,,,ends up being a CHOICE .We all have 24 hours in a day to do research. It's all about the quest for KNOWLEDGE. And that is just HALF THE BATTLE!.
You callled out "God "Vinny....
Trust HIM.!
Learn as much as you can about HIM and you will get the picture. Of HIM and the ENEMY. (One doesn't come without the other)
Eventhough it is "politically incorrect" .... Let's PRAY smilies/smiley.gif smilies/smiley.gif smilies/smiley.gif

Ahmadinejad and Lula The Brazilian diplo-MÁ-cia (bad diplomacy) carries on its accelerated course towards the non-acknowledgment of human rights, although sometimes it takes pleasure in saying that it does precisely the opposite. The visit of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is another example of a diplomatic omission that verges on hypocrisy.

A prison in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil On November 7, 2009 a few friends and I had an opportunity to take a look inside a Brazilian jail outside the city of Rio de Janeiro. We were able to take some amateur footage of our experience on video (see link below). It's no surprise, of course, that the typical Brazilian jail lacks some of the functionality of those in North America or Europe, but our experience that day was quite shocking.
