Brazilian coffee The agricultural production value in São Paulo, Brazil, should end the year at 37.7 billion, which should represent growth of 18.4% over last year, in current terms, and 11.6% in real terms, discounting inflation. The estimate was provided by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of São Paulo.

The study shows that the growth of production is due to price hikes in most products. Without counting the production of sugarcane, the value reaches 24.9 billion Brazilian reais (US$ 10,4 billion), a volume 22% greater than bilateral trade and 15% in deflated value in comparison to last year.

Several products researched, like grain, meats and coffee presented price increases. The production of sugarcane and coffee also maintains a tendency for growth. In total, 50 products were studied, with the prices of 36 having grown, 13 dropped and just sugarcane remained stable. With regard to production, 28 presented growth and 22, reductions. With regard to the value of production, 34 items grew and 16 fell.

Among the products that grew most, in terms of value, the most prominent are steel (174.8%), beans (110.6%), sorghum (97.6%) and pineapple (62.6%). Those that presented most expressive reduction in production were pepper (38.6%), tomato for industrial use (34.5%), cabbage (28.5%) and mango (28.2%).

Among the leaders in the ranking in terms of production volume in 2008, the first four products were cane, beef, oranges for industrial use and chicken.

and later.....Among the products that grew most, in terms of value, the most prominent are steel (174.8%) etc etc !!!!!

Great to know that you mix up your foods stats with steel. Hopefully you dont add steel in your exported foods...just to add more weight and thus getting something such as beef prices that include lets say 5 % steel !

But feel free to add 10 % steel in your beef LOCAL sales !

The rest of the comparative stats in the article are just as clear....as your steel inclusion in your foods stats.
STRANGE...to stay diplomat !

Diplomacy is also one of your hidden talents

Not so, not so !
I am a good diplomat when I negotiate ! I just start telling them endlessly how HE/THEY are good to caress and stimulate their ego and pride. And then they swallow their own beliefs !
Example ?
No problem, here is a fable from Jean de la Fontaine,

THE CROW AND THE FOX
Master Crow sat on a tree, holding a cheese in his beak. Master Fox was attracted by the odor, and tried to attract him thus. "Mister Crow, good day to you. You are a handsome and good looking bird! In truth, if your song is as beautiful as your plumage, you are the Phoenix of this forest." Hearing these words the Crow felt great joy, and to demonstrate his beautiful voice, he opened his mouth wide and let drop his prey. The Fox seized it and said: "My good sir, know that every flatterer lives at the expense of those who take him seriously. This is a lesson that is worth a cheese, no doubt."

The Crow, embarrassed and confused, swore, thought somewhat later, that he would never be tricked again.

It works ALL the times...trust me !

in the other side...on the swiisss......
The Oslo Stock Exhange was yesterday down 9,71 percent, while the Stockholm and Finnish exchanges were down respectively 7,1 and 8,4 percent. In Iceland, the national economy is on the verge of bankruptcy following the country’s bank collapse.
Yesterday was the third worst day ever for the Oslo Exchange, E24.no reports. Meanwhile, companies like the national pride StatoilHydro fell as much as 6,8 percent.

In Stockholm, the stock exchange dropped 7,1 percent, which is the worst since September 11 2001, E24.se reports. In Helsinki the situation was no better with a 8,4 percent drop.
is that thru????ch.c may not like us knowing about his land?!!!

In Iceland, the whole national economy now is on the verge of total collapse. The national government might now be force to take over practically the whole banking sector. However, that might be more than the little state could bear, thus putting the whole economy on the verge of bankruptcy.

God bless Iceland, PM Geir Haarde told the nation in a crisis speech last night.

  • Poor Women from Northeast Brazil Learn Joy of Meeting and Helping Each Other

Joined hands The small, coastal town of Condé is located just a twenty minute's drive from João Pessoa, the capital of Paraíba. The Northeast of Brazil has historically been a place of encounter and mixing between peoples. For millenia groups of indigenous people fished, farmed, migrated and sometimes fought along this large, fertile area.

  • Ahmadinejad's Visit: Iran, Honduras and Brazil's Hypocrisy in Dealing With Them

Ahmadinejad and Lula The Brazilian diplo-MÁ-cia (bad diplomacy) carries on its accelerated course towards the non-acknowledgment of human rights, although sometimes it takes pleasure in saying that it does precisely the opposite. The visit of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is another example of a diplomatic omission that verges on hypocrisy.

  • Lula Is About to Fulfill His Wish of Getting His Good Friend Chavez in Mercosur

Lula and Chavez On July 4, 2006, representatives of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay met in Caracas to sign the protocol for the entrance of Venezuela into the Southern Common Market (Mercosur). After two and a half years, the protocol was approved by the legislative bodies of Argentina and Uruguay, and as of now it may be only days away from being ratified by the continent's economic megalith, Brazil.

Child labor in Brazil One hundred and eleven years after Brazil abolished slavery, the number of workers deprived of their freedom is still huge. • Some Humility Would Do Lula Good. On Human Rights Brazil Has Long Way to Go

A prison in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil On November 7, 2009 a few friends and I had an opportunity to take a look inside a Brazilian jail outside the city of Rio de Janeiro. We were able to take some amateur footage of our experience on video (see link below). It's no surprise, of course, that the typical Brazilian jail lacks some of the functionality of those in North America or Europe, but our experience that day was quite shocking.

  • Brazil's Amazon Rainforest Policy Is a One-Way Road to Disaster

Trasamazonian road in BrazilDepletion of the Amazon Rainforest is not a new concern facing environmentalists, biologists, ecologists, and a growing number of the Amazonian indigenous peoples. Geisy Arruda from BrazilGeisy Arruda made history this week in Brazil, but for all the wrong reasons. What began as a poorly planned fashion statement has become a worldwide tale. Rio police in a favela A dispute over drug trafficking territory in Rio de Janeiro has intensified lately, leaving in its wake unprecedented acts of violence, such as the downing of a police helicopter in the northern zone of the city on October 17.  Three policemen died and another two were injured.  This event has drawn the attention of the international media, who are raising the issue of public security for the 2016 Olympics to be held in Rio.
