Brazil Goes to France to Find Inspiration for Its First Ambiental Expo |

Brazilian
are promoting this month the International Fair for Solutions for
Sanitation and Environment - Ambiental Expo. The exhibition is inspired
on Pollutec, the largest fair in the environmental sector in the world,
which takes place in France.
The event is put together by Reed Exhibitions, which established a joint venture in Brazil with fair promoter Alcântara Machado. Ambiental Expo should take place between June 30th and July 2nd, at the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, in São Paulo.
The fair should show products and services in the areas of air, sanitation, soil, sound, residues and energy. Around 100 brands should participate and show their environmental solutions in an area of 11,000 square meters.
The expectation of the organizers is for 5,000 people to visit the fair. In the sidelines of the fair, there should be the Expo 2009 Environmental Congress. The event should include macro economical themes in environment and also in areas like sanitation, residues, air, soil and energy, with presentation of success cases, solutions and tendencies.
The congress should be coordinated by the Brazilian Association of Infrastructure and Basic Industries (Abdib), which is a partner in promotion of the fair.
In the area of sanitation, for example, there should be products and services for the treatment of water and sewage and for the reuse of water, among others.
In terms of residues, solutions should be presented in urban cleaning and selective collection of waste, in the case of air, there should be from products for the treatment, de-pollution, purification and control of emissions of greenhouse gas.
In the area of soil, infiltration and decontamination of water tables should be included. In sound, control of vibration should be targeted and in the area of energy, presentations should range from biogas technology, biomass, wind energy, solar energy and hydroelectric energy, among others.
