A Club Spreads Arab Culture in Brazil |

A series of cultural events are going to officially open the activities of the Arab Culture Institute (ICA), an organization established by a group of Brazilian intellectuals in January to promote Arab culture in the country.
In April, there will be a photography exhibition with images of Palestine, taken by photographer Rogério Ferrari, in May the organization will organize a night of Arab poetry, with literature professor Michel Sleiman, a specialist in Arab-Andalusian poetry, and in the month of June, there will he a cinema show and debates, with films and documentaries about the Arab countries.
Among the works to be included in the cinema exhibition are a 2003 documentary by a French producer about the life of Edward Said, an Arab intellectual who defended the Palestinian cause, who passed away around two years ago, and film "Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War", by filmmaker Robert Greenwald, coveri |
