The South America - Arab Countries Summit just held in Brazil marks a new direction for globalization, which should serve the welfare of all parties, not just of one. This is the opinion of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Amre Moussa.
Opening the Brazil-Arab Countries Entrepreneurial Encounter, today, in São Paulo, he compared the new movement to "the liquidation of colonialism in the past century."
Moussa affirmed that dialogue is more important than conflict in the relations among countries, and he praised the peaceable atmosphere of the meeting in Brasília, which ended yesterday.
Moussa emphasized that the Brasília Summit opened the doors even wider for trade among the countries involved. In his view, if new laws are necessary, the entrepreneurs should make their governments aware of this need, to facilitate the process.
The encounter, which brings together 400 Brazilian and 130 Arab entrepreneurs, is sponsored by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Brazilian export and investment promotion agency (Apex-Brasil).
