The final balance of national arrivals in 2005 shows two relevant data. Month to month, the increase variation of the year in relation to 2004 reached the level of 29.55%, registered in January, and never dropped to below 11.46%, the lowest rate, registered in November.

During the months of July and December, the number of arrivals passed 4 million. In July, traditional holidays month, the total was of 4,253,469, a variation of 22,57% in relation to July 2004, which had 3,470,113. In the month of December, the arrivals reached 4,015,559, an increase in 15.71% in comparison to the same period in 2004.

The year was also record in relation to the arrivals in international flights, with registered value of 6,784,554, an increase in 10.53% in relation to 2004, when 6,138,217 were registered.

This is good news generally and is very promising for the economy.

Lets hope that he extra revenue which is generated is reinevested properly so that continued growth can be maintained.

Constructive investment which can bring about long term benefits is the KEY....
