Misconstruction
written by Heloisa Rosa, June 25, 2007
Far from being megalomaniac, the project of tapping the waters of the Sao Francisco River before it flows to the sea, and diverting those important hydric resources to alleviate the chronic dryness of the Northestearn region of Brazil has been under consideration since the beginning of the XX Century and now goes to practice. This misinformed piece of criticism tries to build up opposition to a feasible and socially useful project upon a bunch of half-truths and emotional fantasies - indigenous tribes, global warming, etc. . I would suggest the writer of such an unfortunate article to go deeper into his research.
