One Land Management Accord for Brazil and Six Portuguese-Speaking Countries PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ana Lúcia Caldas
Monday, 13 March 2006

A concrete result of the 2nd International Conference on Agrarian Reform and Rural Development is the signing of an agreement by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) on the legal aspects of land ownership and management.

FAO, which will provide financing and technical assistance, decided to work through the umbrella CPLP using the existing structures in the member countries of the community and the fact that they all speak the same language, rather than make seven or eight individual agreements.

The participating countries are: Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, São Tome and Principe and Portugal.

Will large Brazilian landowners take away the land of all these Portuguese speaking countries, very poor except Portugal, at not cost, with faked certificates of ownership, just the way thes landowners did in Brazil ??????

Great ! Hopefully the world free nations will not allow you...to impose what you do in your own country !
