A New Obligatory Stop If You Want to Import from Brazil PDF Print E-mail
Written by Omar Nasser
Tuesday, 18 April 2006

Exporters from the Brazilian southern state of Paraná are the first to become part of the Brazil Export Guide, an electronic tool for promoting products and services that will improve contacts and allow for the exchange of information and knowledge between importers and exporters, creating new business opportunities.

The exporting companies can already sign up for free in the site www.brazilexportguide.com.br.

"This tool will help the small and medium entrepreneurs to be known around the world, as there aren't many sites on the Internet and the ones that exist, may not be consulted by foreign importers," stated the vice-president at the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (Fiep) and coordinator of the Foreign Exchange Council, Ardisson Naim Akel. The portal starts operating on the first half of June.

According to the marketing consultant, Henrique Gaviolli, who is responsible for the portal, the fact that Paraná was the first one is going to bring additional benefits for the companies located in the state.

"When importers access the companies, the ones from Paraná will be the first to appear, as they were the first to sign up." The aim is to enroll 11,000 companies during the first year, 2,000 of which from Paraná.

"The Portal Brazil Export Guide comes to meet the demand of many. The cost/benefit for the exporter is excellent. For the importer it means a lot more comfort and agility at the moment of finding a Brazilian company," says Gaviolli.

The portal will be well located in the best search sites on the Internet with a sponsored link in Google.

"The Brazil Export link will appear on the first page of results in the search site when a trader types in some key word related to Brazilian import/export and some kind of product," comments Gaviolli, stating that out of every 10 people who access the Internet, six use it to search for products in search sites.

Omar Nasser works for the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (FIEP).
