Trump and Brazilian deal maker Ricardo Bellino The first time the young Brazilian entrepreneur Ricardo Bellino met Donald Trump was at Trump Tower in New York City on January 28, 2003 and Bellino's intention was to convince the building tycoon to build an exclusive real estate and golf community in São Paulo, Brazil - a half-billion-dollar project.

Trump gave Bellino exactly 3 minutes to make his presentation. At the end of these three minutes they shook hands and a multimillion-dollar deal was sealed on the spot.

As a result, the Registry of Official World Records, published by Record Holders Republic, has named the Brazilian national as having set an official World Record for the three-minute deal and has scheduled a presentation ceremony to bestow him with an official World Record Certificate. The ceremony will take place at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne on November 8 at 8 pm.

Trump writes on his Web site, "I mention in my book, 'Think Like a Billionaire,' that Ricardo Bellino had exactly three minutes to give me his business presentation... He gave me such a great presentation in those three minutes that we became partners. It's surprising what people can do when they have a deadline."

"No matter if you are in the Olympics or in the business field you have to believe the unbelievable," Bellino says. He has now sold his shares in Trump Realty Brazil and moved to Miami to pursue his next project.

He has also been asked to write the forward for Record Holders Republic's upcoming book, "Believe The Unbelievable! The Book of Official World Records and Astonishing Human Feats" (Bartleby Press, 2008). He said it will be based on the inspirational nature of his philosophy in life - "Why not?" and his profile will be included in the Record Holder's Profiles chapter.

Bellino is the author of "You Have 3 Minutes! Learn the Secrets of the Pitch from Trump's Original Apprentice". The book has been published in more than 10 countries, including Japan, Korea, Spain, Brazil and Russia.

Bellino will be presenting his book at the 2007 Miami International Book Fair at the Brazilian Pavilion on November 9th.

Bellino wrote recently: "Throughout my entire professional life, there have always been those I consider mentors. These are professionals whose examples inspire me and continue to inspire me. Being able to live with these mentors has provided me with an invaluable learning experience.

"With them I was able to learn what is not taught in school; practical lessons in life and work that showed me how to overcome obstacles and succeed. Donald Trump was one of those people. When I looked him up to sell him my idea about building a real estate venture in Brazil, I was given a true lesson in how to negotiate.

Another native son has departed Brazil, and I hope not forever. The last two paragraphs of the article states why Brazil needs talent like his and others like him for the country to continue developing.
