Obama Wins Primary in Brazil by a Landslide PDF Print E-mail
Written by Francesco Neves
Friday, 22 February 2008

Senator Barack Obama The Democratic presidential candidate senator Barack Obama won his 11th consecutive victory in a primary since Super Tuesday with a little help from Americans living in Brazil. Obama won the Global primary elections organized by the Democrats abroad group with 65% of the votes, while his opponent, senator Hillary Clinton got 32%.

In Brazil, where voters used the Internet to cast their ballots, only 46 people took the trouble to vote. The result: 32 votes for Obama, which got 69.6% of the nods while Clinton received the remaining 14, or 30.4% of the total.

The more than 20,000 American Democrats who live abroad were able to vote by the Internet and mail in 164 countries, between February 5 and 12. Another 30 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Mexico, Japan and Russia had also electoral precincts.

During Super Tuesday, on February 5, Framingham, in Massachusetts, the most Brazilian town in the United States, gave 60% of its votes to senator Clinton. It's believed that one third of Framingham's residents are Brazilians or second generation Brazilians. Barack won only 38% of the votes in the city.

It's believed, however, that the vast majority of the Brazilian population in Framingham is illegal and ended up not voting. Those on the known estimate that a mere 15% of the Brazilian in that town have proper documentation as immigrant. Not more than half of these are American citizens with right to vote.

Most of them, however, legal or illegal, according to community leaders, were rooting for the former first lady. Talking to Brazilian reporters, the owner of the Brasil Bakery, Elias Fernandes, who is very popular among Brazilians, confirmed Mrs Clinton's favoritism:

"The vast majority of Brazilians wishes for Hillary to be chosen. They all know that if she is the winner Bill Clinton will be the real president."

For the Brazilian consul in Boston (Framingham is just 20 miles west of Boston), Mário Ernane Saade, former president Clinton has a good reputation among Brazilians in the US: "Actually, the Brazilian community and Latinos in general have a very favorable image of the Bill Clinton administration."

According to him, this image was helped by the Legal Immigration Family Equity Act also known as Life Act or Law 245-I, which helped immigrants in 2001. And he adds: "The selection of the next American president is going to directly influence the immigrants' life. This makes the community highly interested in the subject."

There are about 300 evangelical churches frequented by Brazilians in the state of Massachusetts. The pastors of these churches pushed Republican Mike Huckabee's candidacy.

The Brazilian community has sponsored several "house parties," small family dinners in which guests make a contribution in cash, which is then donated to their candidate's campaign.

The 2000 US Census counted 3,453 Brazilians in Framingham, population 65,000. Immigrant groups and the local City Hall, however, estimate that the Brazilian community in town is at least 18,000 strong.

Great number of them work in civil construction as helpers, painters and carpenters. Another large contingent makes a living as gardeners, cleaners and waiters.

Why has Framingham become a magnet for Brazilian immigrants? The most likely version is that a town company opened a branch in Governador Valadares, in the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, to explore strategic minerals during the Second World War. When the war ended the company brought some Brazilians to work in Framingham. These pioneers then started bringing family and friends from Brazil.

The powers that be "want" Obama" to win
written by dnbaiacu, February 25, 2008
Follow the money trail and you will know just who behind the curtain of power wants to win. Obama is getting money for his campaign from "everywhere" .. This is who the hidden powers that be "want" as president, or as a "distraction of a figurehead". Presidents hold no real power in the U.S.. big corporations do. People need to ask just what is the "real" agenda behind the scenes. What is taking place is defying the cultural norm.. Nothing has changed as far as who is "really" running things. Beware and don't be fooled! Think! "They " know what is going to happen.. And Obama is just a sacrifice. A current distraction . And a future scapegoat. Propaganda is behind this election. People want "Change"? Be careful what you ask for.

United Nations taking over U.S.? It is a new and interesting conspiracy theory. Some say that U.N. is in its final death throbs like the League of Nations before WW2. Others say that U.S is a dying empire and the "New Empire" will emerge from the ashes of Europe.

It would be interesting if you can clarify your statement further. I cant imagine Mr.Ban-Ki-Moon taking over the U.S.!

Ban-Ki-Moon is just a spokesman.. A mouthpiece.. And it is not to say the U.N will "take over" the U.S.. Clearing up my statement , what is meant is that this "terror enviroment " provoked even more by the Iraq situation, coupled with a weakening U.S. led global economy (getting worse by the day) will put the major nations in the game in the position to tackle these issues on a united front. The U.N. is just a sleeping giant for now. Just wait. This is prophetic. And be careful agreeing with the old label "conspiracy theory". Since the beginning governments have "conspired" against the masses for the benefit overall of a privleged few. This is not "theory" . It is historical fact.

Mercosul,, The European Union, the up and coming North American Union.. (google that),, The construction of highway 69 from Mexico clear to Canada. What is this all leading to?

It's better to keep an eye on the Federal Reserve Bank of the U.S and the interest rates.. They run America's show. Better yet research its' history. ( I can't believe though and I feel privleged that I am blogging with "the Joao da Silva" ( obrigado!) You may already know the Feds history. But this entity is the one to watch.. Keeping in mind that the U.S is the IMF's biggest financial contributor, with money ,yes borrowed from its' business partner the Federal Reserve Bank.

You can easily control people by controlling their stomachs. Get them broke and they will fall for anything. Like Obamas platform of "Change". He can't "change" a thing. Presidents have no control over the economy. Bush scandalously provoked a huge money sinking war. No one has choice BUT to want "CHANGE" now.

If you are in way a subscriber to prophecy,, check these simple verses out in Revelation chapter 17:9-14

Here is where the intelligence that has wisdom comes in: The seven heads mean seven mountains, where the woman sits on top. 10 And there are seven kings: five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet arrived, but when he does arrive he must remain a short while. 11 And the wild beast that was but is not, it is also itself an eighth [king], but springs from the seven, and it goes off into destruction.

12 “And the ten horns that you saw mean ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do receive authority as kings one hour with the wild beast. 13 These have one thought, and so they give their power and authority to the wild beast. 14 These will battle with the Lamb, but, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, the Lamb will conquer them. Also, those called and chosen and faithful with him [will do so].”

The seven kings are 7 world powers in history.. Rome was the 6th one when John saw the vision.. After that is the dual world power of the U.S and Great Britain.. Vested interests financially still connect them both although they appear on the surface to be separate entities. This is the 7th power before the governments as a complete unit, symbolized by the number 10, give "their power and authority to the wild beast" ,the U,N. which started as the "League of Nations" then disappeared and came back as the U.N. as indicated in the following prophetic verses of Revelation 17:8

8 The wild beast that you saw was, but is not, and yet is about to ascend out of the abyss, and it is to go off into destruction. And when they see how the wild beast was, but is not, and yet will be present, those who dwell on the earth will wonder admiringly, but their names have not been written upon the scroll of life from the founding of the world

again re-iterated in verse 11

1 And the wild beast that was but is not, it is also itself an eighth [king], but springs from the seven, and it goes off into destruction.

The U.N will come back in a big way.. It HAS to.. Look at what is happening. The U.S will never resolve never resolve this debacle on its own. Especially with no money and without public support. If they pull out.. Even more instability in that region is on its way. And remaining there is a continued expense. The math of all this is simple.

The U.S is at the point where it doesn't MATTER who is president. So give the public what they want to see. Does one really think institutionalized racism in the U.S has changed? This fuels capitalism. You can decide upfront who is second class.. Who will "slave" for the powers that be. It is still going on with "immigrant labor". This is capitalisms core.

What is behind Obama is a huge money machine. Minority sponsored hope and vanity. And a mass population that hasn't been given much in candidates to choose from. This is "marketing and propaganda at its finest. In the meantime the mass majority are entertained by "circuses and bread". To not think .. To not see it all.. Kinda like Brasil who appears to have mastered that ideology.
This is no mere "conspiracy theory" people.. This is very much our reality.

I am equally honored to be blogging with you and to receive your thought provoking comments for which I immensely thank you. You remind me so much of another blogger who went by the name of "Lloyd Cata", but disppeared (probably due to the tedium caused by me!).

Yes I have read about the "Bretton Woods Monetary system" and how the Federal Reserve Bank came to be powerful.I agree with many of your statements that coincide with my line of thoughts.

Mercosul,, The European Union, the up and coming North American Union.. (google that),, The construction of highway 69 from Mexico clear to Canada. What is this all leading to?

A new World Order? I would think so and Lloyd and I have blogged regarding this. Only doubt I have is whether Mercosul will be powerful enough to compete with EU or the proposed North American Union. Mercosul countries are not really all that united and the aspirations of the elected leaders are different.

It was obvious from the beginning! Assuming that Obama gets nominated and stands against McCain, who do you think gets elected?

Regardless of who gets elected in U.S., I think that the influence of "Old Europe" on Latin America will continue growing unchecked.

Kinda like Brasil who appears to have mastered that ideology.

Good day Joao!
Thanks for writing.. You brought up something interesting about Obama standing against McCain.. McCains whole platform is about his "military experience". This WILL be very interesting considering there is a lot of time between now and November for a "terror" event, contrived or not to take place to yet again mobilize and polarize everyone to influence the course of this election. We must not forget "peace" talks are on the table with Isreal and Palestine which Bush claims he is determined to resollve before he leaves office. In the meantime the economy in the U.S. falls apart at the seams. It is definetely a "stand back and watch the show" situation. History is going to be made some how some way this year.
As far as these different unions.. You don't necessarily have to have a formal union to be united. You can just peg the currencies. The average American is too nationalistic to want a North American Union. It will have to be sold as a solution that they will be "begging" for .. for relief. Do you think the Central Banks of South America will really determine the course history their. At some point no one will be able to afford to be left out of the loop. Countries depend on "trading partners' . To decide "not" to connect could be costly.
Yes,, the influence of Old Europe on Latin America is real. Of which a paper trail will take you right back to Central bank of London and the Fed,, or better yet , for even another twist to the story "The Vatican".
Here's a point to ponder.
And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished. 18 And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.” Revelation 17:15-18

Presuming the "harlot" is organized religion , the ten horns are world governments, and the wild beast is the U.N. , just what do you see here?
Oh, and about Ban-Ki-Moon being Secretary General of the U.N.. So appropo! The perfect neutralizing face of the future. The Asian world is a force to contend with now. It can no longer be ignored. After the olympics this summer this all we will hear about. A cold war of sorts will be on again, but only this time "EVERYONES" money is at stake.
I enjoyed hearing from you

Good day to you! I probably wasn' t paying attention , or cared then. Too busy looking at the stock market smilies/grin.gif... On a serious note though. The U.S. wasn't in Iraq at the time either.. It is A LOT more critical over there now. Any talk of Peace" will be a fluke anyway.

5 Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, YOU need nothing to be written to YOU. 2 For YOU yourselves know quite well that the Lords day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape. 4 But YOU, brothers, YOU are not in darkness, so that that day should overtake YOU as it would thieves, 5 for YOU are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to night nor to darkness. 1Thessalonians 5:1-5

We've been in this "era" for awhile now.

Both sides will NEVER go for that.. It's all rhetoric.
England and the U.S stole that land and partnered with the local Suadis to drill for oil. The religious "front" of it all is that they imported the previously persecuted Jews from Europe from post WWII to take custody of the area and form a strategic presence in the middle east to protect British/U.S oil interests. All the while claiming that was Jewish homeland. What a joke!! And a scam!! The God of the bible gave up on Isreal when he allowed Jerusalem and the temple to be destroyed in 70CE . Jews have no real divine right to any land over there. It is all a fake front coming back to bite everyone involved. This is why Isreal can make hostile supposedly retaliatory attacks and Britain and the U.S don't lift a finger and turn the other way basically. The Palestinians just want what was taken away from them. But I guess that is just as silly an attempt as native American indians wanting the U.S back . Or native South American indians wanting South America back.. It's a lost cause . But belief systems can sponsor lots of madness. It is certainly doing its job over there.

Joao,

Looking at the blogs here it reminded me of this story...have you ever heard of them:

“Ottawa — It’s like Woodstock for conspiracy theorists.

A serene suburban setting has been transformed into a four-day festival of black suits, black limousines, burly security guards — and suspicions of world domination.

On the outskirts of the nation’s capital, a tony high-rise hotel beside a golf course is hosting the annual meeting for one of the world’s most secretive and powerful societies.

It’s not the Freemasons.

Forget those fabled U.S. military men who tucked away UFOs in the Arizona desert.

These guys, you’ve probably never even heard of, and if you believe the camera-toting followers who attend all their meetings, they control the world.

They’re called the Bilderberg group.

They include European royalty, national leaders, political power-brokers, and heads of the world’s biggest companies.

Those who follow the Bilderberg group say it got Europe to adopt a common currency, got Bill Clinton elected after he agreed to support NAFTA, and is spending this week deciding what to do about high oil prices and that pesky fundamentalist president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“Some people say that I advocate a conspiracy theory. That’s not true. I recognize a conspiracy fact,” said James P. Tucker.

The 74-year-old American journalist has been following the Bilderberg group for decades, has written extensively about…
CTV.ca News Staff

A shadowy group of world leaders and decision makers are meeting in Ottawa this weekend, cloaked in a blanket of security and secrecy that has conspiracy theorists’ websites working overtime.

Considered one of the world’s most powerful and secret societies, the Bilderberg group’s annual meeting was scheduled to be attended by about 130 people at the Brook Street Resort.

The guest list, according to an unsigned press release obtained by The Canadian Press, includes the likes of David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Holland’s Queen Beatrix, and New York Gov. George Pataki.

And the Canadian complement includes Indigo books CEO Heather Reisman and former New Brunswick premier Frank McKenna.

Conspiracy theories

Conspiracy theorists maintain the group has played a key role in world events, allegedly orchestrating the move to a common European currency and getting Bill Clinton elected after he agreed to sign onto NAFTA. And in Yugoslavia, Serbs have blamed Bilderberg for starting the war that led to the downfall of former dictator Slobodan Milosevic.

And according to the release, this year’s group will discuss high oil prices and the best way to deal with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Journalists are banned from the proceedings, except in special cases, and attendees never speak about what took place inside the meetings.

.The Bilderberg group has been surrounded in high level secrecy since it was established by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands in 1954.

The group has headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands, at a building where phone calls are met by a recorded voice with instructions to leave a message, and calls are reportedly never returned.

Critics say the group is sinister and elitist, and that it operates entirely through self interest.

If the group’s motives are legitimate, they ask, why keep their meetings so secret?

The group, however, claims secrecy is necessary in order to stimulate discussions.

“The meeting is private to encourage frank and open discussion.” said the press release.

“There will be no press conference.”

Extremely interesting comments and thanks. To be honest with you, I have not heard of this "Bilderberg group". As you know, one learns new things everyday!

I wonder if our esteemed blogger "dnbaiacu" has heard of this group and if he has, he would be willing to share their secrets with us (unless he belongs to it).

By giving this info, you justified the silence of "Gringo" for a few weeks. He must be in Ottawa participating in the meeting. When he comes back to Brazil, I intend pressurizing him to sponsor us both into this club!

“The meeting is private to encourage frank and open discussion.” said the press release.

Once we get into the club, we will encourage frank and open discussions among ourselves without the dumb press corp interfering smilies/smiley.gif

btw, do you think that Ch.c is a member of this Bilderberg group?

Good day!
LOL I like your sense of humor Joao.. The Bilderberger Group ( and yes I have read up on it) doesn't have time to blog I'm sure.
I am looking forward to another interesting article to blog on .. I just HAD to say something about Obamas "landside". Not all Americans are completely oblivious to what is going on. These are "global issues" .. It is much bigger than it appears. And some of us ARE aware of that. America has never been "running" anything on its own. And it's people just like any other country are victims of manipulation . We are all part of the game. It is just a matter of understanding how deep you are in it as an individual and a country.
Hope to see you both on the next interesting article. Soon it is going to be hard to find this article again.

Thanks for the compliments. The sense of humor is very important to keep a person sane in insane circumstances. It also helps to "break the ice" while dealing with people of different nationalities, religions and ideologies.

Hope you will continue contributing to the discussions in the other thread. That is, if you are not too busy during the week end.
