Tit for Tat: Brazil Fights Back and Sends 8 Spaniards Back Home PDF Print E-mail
Written by Newsroom
Saturday, 08 March 2008

International airport of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil Immigration officials in Brazil turned back eight Spanish tourists this Friday, March 8, a day after the country expressed disappointment to Spain over the high number of Brazilians that are being rejected at the Madrid Barajas airport.

The eight Spaniards, five men and three women, arrived from Madrid to Salvador in the northeastern state of Bahia, indicated reports from the Globo television network.

According to the Brazilian federal police, the eight Spaniards, among which three tourism agents, were impeded from entering Brazil because of irregularities in their travel documents and for not having declared all the money they carried.

The incident occurs a day after the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in an official communiqué that it "was examining adopting appropriate measures in response to what has been happening, taking into account, inclusively the principle of reciprocity."

The release referred to the recent turning back of thirty Brazilians who were not allowed into Spain at Barajas airport. The Brazilian Foreign Office expressed its deepest "disappointment" and "dissatisfaction with the issue," of the Brazilians rejected by Spain.

The release also mentioned that Foreign Affairs minister Celso Amorim had talked about the issue "a few weeks ago" with his Spanish counterpart Miguel Angel Moratinos and expressed personally the "dissatisfaction" of the Brazilian government with the "repeat of such restrictive measures."

According to Brazilian media, in February alone Spain turned back 452 Brazilians who had arrived at Barajas airport.

at the situations of those being turneed back. I feel quite certain that the Brazilians, as well as these 8 Spainards, that were not allowed into the countries had irregularities in their documentation. It's only correct not to allow them in.

Unfortunately Brazil is a country that tends to "export" their citizens in large numbers, all around the world, many not having the documents they need or large numbers that are abusing the system in many countries. It's no secret that Spain, Portugal, Italy, and other countries now have large numbers of brazilian prostitutues.

It’s funny how Brazilians are getting so bent out of shape because Spain is not allowing into their nation those that most Brazilians wouldn’t allow into their own homes. That’s nationalism for you.

After listening to Lula talk, it struck me that he wasn’t upset regarding the treatment of Brazilians, he was upset that they were sent back. Lula and company think that it’s the job of richer nations to take care of Brazil’s “special people”.

He’ll probably implement a "bolsa de brazuca" shortly with the intention of sending more of Brazil´s finest abroad for other nations to deal with.

As for barring the Spaniards, it was a cheap childish knee-jerk reaction. In other words: typically Brazilian. But Brazil probably did them a favour and saved a life or two in the process.

I agree! The world should implement a policy of reciprocity too, starting with the US which should immediately send 2,000,000 of its least desirable to live illegally in Brazil.

brazil,s exports seem to have a problem,,,with lack of respect for sovereign nations law....Brazil seems to be problematic with its international criminal alien trafficking.....If Brazil can not dismantle this enterprise,,, then it should ask the first world nations it trafficks to, for help in policing this very serious issue.....After all,, the u.s.a. is fed up with these countries continued trafficking of its inherently criminal citizens to the u.s.... the corrupt issuing of tourist visas should be elimnated in brazil.....And the traffickers should be prosecuted.....

Now Brazil is mixing up Real Tourists with Illegal Immigration !
No doubt that the " irregularities in their travel documents" excuse is quite vague....on purpose.
Better yet, they had MONEY that of course Brazilians Illegals in Spain...did not/dont have !
And the Reciprocity excuse is of course NOT JUSTIFIED.......by mixing real tourists with illegals who want to stay
in the country for years. The problem is not when someone enters a country...but when he LEAVES !

Ohhhhhhh...and you want to promote Brazil as a tourism destination.....by refusing foreign travel agents...wishing to create contacts, negotiate deals...in order to send you their clients !

3 years ago, you even begged Portugal...to let and take good care of the tens of thousands Illegals Brazilians...already in their country.

More Filthy, Cheaters and Liars than Brazilians there is not.
Have I not said the same that....for years ?

You just proved, once more and as usual, how right I am..

Tonight I was watching the TV and this issue of Brazilians being turned back at Madrid airport was being reported again. I felt really sorry to see how the Brazilians are fleeing the country in pursuit of (better?)opportunities elsewhere. The country is blessed with so many natural resources, a huge cultivable land, a population less than U.S., Russia and other emerging Asian countries and a reasonably well educated (but apathetic) middle class.There used to be days when the planes flew on time,buses departed on time people used to help each other, the schooling system was not all that bad, crime rate was so low,etc;

Years ago, we did not have problem of being welcomed into any country and we used to welcome all the foreigners too. Now I see that we are becoming pathetic, being kicked out of other countries and show our manhood by deporting the foreigners. I ask myself: Who is responsible for the exodus en mass of our youngsters? If any Brazilian in this blog could respond to my question, I would very much appreciate.

Thank you

It's the reality at hand wouldn't you say João? How many 18-22 year old kids from middle class families want to work for 400 reais a month?

You're right, Brazil has been blessed with so many natural resources but unfortunately the vast majority of the country is a big bagunça.

WHEN ?
Please tell us more.
I just remind you Brazil needed 26 years - 1980 to 2006 - to remake that the minimum monthly wage equals to the price of 2 food baskets.
But you are also somewhat right, you were a booming country during the early years of the last dictature. (you had more than one...if you recall)
And you also are one ofd the few countries on earth, with South Africa but for diffferent reasons, where the crime rate far more than doubled in less than 2 decades.
Then it is funny that your Rio director of tourism openly said a while ago, that the city is as safe as any large cities in the world.
Hmmmmmm !!!!!!
What are the large cities who needed AND STILL NEED the army 1 to 2 times a year to reduce the crime rates and arrest with some voluntary executions FROM the police ?
Paris ? NOOOOOO these were social riots and nothing to compare with criminals with guns, grenades or whatever.
Who else ????? Please tell us.
I can only think of....SAO PAULO !!!!!!!!!

To Joao...again and your "The country is blessed with so many natural resources...etc"
written by ch.c., March 10, 2008
I thought you were smarter !

Switzerland, Japan, Sweden, France, Italy,Spain, Portugal just to name a few are wealthy and developed countries !
Correct or not ?
Welll....none of them have been blessed with...so many natural resources...to my knowledge.

Simple proof, once more, that it is not what you have in your ground or purse that counts, but what you do with.
And history has always proven that what is in the human minds is worth far more that what is in the ground.

I will simply conclude that as high are the actual commodities....is simply because there was and still is a US$ losing its value and you were eager to amass against hard assets. On top of that America also exported their subprimes toxics to the others more developed nations...we were eager to amass...better yet with a huge leverage!!!! Including my country....as you know ! smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/grin.gif
This said, after America inflation, commodities prices TODAY in US$ are not any higher than 30 years ago... not including the US$ depreciation ! Meaning that in more stable and valuable currencies, commodities prices today are much cheaper than 30 years ago.......... even BEFORE inflation !
Let me just show you where you can effectively see long term commodities price charts (several decades) and not medium term prices only (2 to 5 years)....in US$ :
http://www.mrci.com/pdf/charts.asp
I just remind you that what worth US$ 1.-- 30 years ago should be worth at least 2,50 today....after inflation in the depreciated US$ currency !!!
Enjoy the viewing and the learning of the sad facts and reality that ALL commodities producing governmenst will....NEVER SHOW YOU .....on purpose !

smilies/wink.gif smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/grin.gif

I have access to similar charts...after inflation in US$, prices in various strong currencies both before and after inflation.
The long term downward spiral is even far more impressive...even at today high prices !!!.

Can someone give me a site where I can get additional information on this issue? All I can find is the blurb from the United Press International which gives NO details... You guys are talking about prostitution, illegal immigration, sex slaves, less desirables but what I heard was the 30 that were recently turned back - some were students who were trying to attend a conference.... Help me understand this issue without the typical American aggression and only the actual facts. If any of you know them.

Things will change!
written by Ivo, March 10, 2008
Unfortunately Brazil's poeple are still recuperating from the years of Dictatorship they suffered under. Its an unavoidable truth that the individuals who have no jobs will try and enter the richer countries. But the incident in Spain was that many of those sent back were actual tourists or students in transit. The sex trade is Brazil's biggest embarrassement but as we speak things are being planned to bring it under control. With regards to the Spaniards the Brazillian government would never retaliate if the refusal of tourists was flawed. I remember arriving in Heathrow about 3 years ago and I had the pleasure of meeting and translating for "Dunga". He had just arrived in the same flight as me but was held back.Fortunately he head a letter confirming his reason for visiting the UK. But one thing he said which I'll never forget was that ..."...esta gente daqui entra no Brasil e faz o que quer... ".The worst part was that the woman checking his papers wasn't even British by origin ...she was Indian lady who had one hell of an accent. I don't want to discriminate...but its time that poeple started respecting Brazil. Times are changing and Brazil's economic growth and geographical position will soon make it the place to be!.It won't happen soon ...but its going. The bottom line is ..."you wan't to play...then no problem ...lets play..."

In spite of making this statement, you broke your promise and went on commenting further smilies/shocked.gif

On a serious tone: the numbers and the stats are very good for analyzing the current situation, identifying problems, coming out with alternative solutions and to fix the problems.A good manager has to know it and can not close his eyes and pretend that there are no problems at all and "all is blau". This is applicable to a country as well as businesses (Not to forget families too).

I can go on talking about it for days, but would like to end the discussion by saying that we do have serious "Managerial Problem". This will not be solved unless (quoting Forrest from another thread):

all peoples need to stop and look at the not so merry road the ones incharge ard paving for themselves
like i have said before .
THEY SEE THEMSELVES AS THE NEW ROLITY AND WE ARE HERE TO SERVE THEM WITH OUR LIVES IF NEED BE .

It is an extremely interesting advice Forrest gave and worth reflecting upon. Another advice he specifically meant for you is to "stop jumping on João", which you are not likely to accept smilies/grin.gif

Jennifer...you should check the Record News site...the only problem is that I'm not sure if they have an english version.

I saw the News here in London...and guess what... 2 of the passengers interviewed were Students. The most recent case about 4 days ago was that of a young PhD student who was going to present a paper in Lisbon. Unfortunately his flight had a connection via Madrid and the rest was "music"...

I'm going to sound like a an old broken record ...but its time that Brazilians got RESPECT...not all the men are drug runners ..and not all the women are prostitutes!

By now poeple reading my e-mails will start wondering..."Yeah right another Brazilian trying to safe face!...".
That couldn't be further from the truth ...I'm South African by birth and Portuguese by origin...born in Cape Town because my father had to seek refuge from the Dictatorship in Portugal in the 1960s. I'm proud of being Portuguese and prouder for knowing that "Brasil" is growing into the Country it was always meant to be. The British had their turn and the Americans are flying high (something they deserve for their thriving nature)...but all of a sudden Brazil' debts have been paid. They have enough resources to live independently from the rest of the World and yet they still get treated like rubbish? ?? NO! IT MUST STOP!
Here in the UK ....Before the Brazilians the Portuguese were treated like trash whenever they arrived at Heathrow. Thats why many portuguese communities in the Uk try to help Brazilians where they can. A similar situation occurred in the USA and even in Portugal (vergonha total virar a cara ao nosso sangue). Its obvious/logical that local economies must produce jobs for its own citizens. But that doesn't give them the right to drag everyone togheter like a bunch of animals and send them off!

DID YOU KNOW?....that not too long ago Australians and New Zealanders were treated like Trash when they arrived at Heathrow.....and nowadays the thousands of British immigrating to Australia are Despised beyond believe!
What goes around ....comes around....

Even though some Brazilians probably deserved to be sent back, it is a shame what the Spain immigration dept is doing to those going to Europe to attend seminars and scientific events. This cannot happen.

Chc, Switzerland is ranked by next to Canada in the list of the most boring countries in the world. I rather die killed in Copacabana by a "bala perdida" than anywhere near Geneva.

However, I am requesting Bo and Admiral Forrest to clarify this issue further as they are bilingual and will be happy to explain to you (unless you have something against the West Virginians and Texans).

Talking about American Aggression, it is nothing compared with that of the Swiss who pretend to be neutral, but they are not.

Why I think Chc needs to get a life!
written by Ivo, March 10, 2008
I have to admit that ....I did waste valuable seconds of my life reading your mono-dimensional drivel!

You mention facts a seven year old could pick up from the local library....thats ok...but you seem to ignore the long-term effects of the privatization reforms implemented.
Natural resources obviously has its limitations...but you would have to be quite naive to ignore the market range it will produce.

To keep it short....If Brazil is so totally crap sunshine...... then why is it that the world's richest man doesn't share your views? read the following...http://www.reuters.com/article/companyNewsAndPR/idUSN1821878820071018 maybe you'll enjoy it or maybe it will just bounce off your ego.
Crime will eventually die out (no pun intended)....and then what will people like good old Mr Chc come up with...."Weapons of mass destruction or something in those lines...Hey?

Listen man.... just lie down and keep telling yourself that you're right ...and who knows maybe someday you'll convince yourself!

There is no doubt that if Brazil develops a complete overhaul of their education system driven by transparent internal investment in the lines of what occurred in Japan and Germany after the Second World War ...who knows the heights they could reach!
Not too long ago Portugal ...was seen as the loosers of Europe prior to joining the EU....and guess what happened next...people like you are finally starting to notice their presence (as small as it may be) ...So why can't Brazil do the same ?

With regards to the whole "Tourist" and "Illegal Immigration" problems and the the very Sad prostitution issues I can't understand howcome people like you have the audacity to refer to Brazil a land of "... Filthy, Cheaters and Liars than Brazilians there is not"?
Smoke on this one ...Chc who is filthier ....the woman who looses her self respect to get money to survive...or the highly sophisticated European who exploits her vulnerability?

The Social injustices in Brazil will take time to improve ....but that doesn't mean that Brazilians as filthy as you may think they are ...are not worthy of being treated with respect!

for the IBAMA to show up at my farm wanting to inspect my chicken coup too see if is dumping waste in the river ( i have 17 chickens with a concrete floor )
and trying to fine me and the river is 3.5 kl away from my house .
the eletric company charging money too me for the sain terras gato electiry while they camped out in front of my land , stoled my water , blocked my driveway .
dumped trash all over the place , called my wife and her family whores , and other things , while walking behind them in the markets in town .
and get no help from the police when they ask for help
well i guess i have the typical american aggression

Sorry for the mistake above, but the point Ivo made was clear and yours too. Unify both answers and you will see that the prostitution of minors in Brazil (or older women) is a downright disgusting act. Filthy and immoral are those who turn their face the other way and those Europeans North Americans who come over to Brazil to abuse children. In this case my friend, two wrongs don't make a right.

I have been following your comments and I do appreciate your defending Brazil and the Brazilians. Indeed we need positive thinking bloggers such as your good self. However I would like to ask you two questions.

1) You mentioned that:
Unfortunately Brazil's poeple are still recuperating from the years of Dictatorship they suffered under.

What makes you think so, bearing in mind that most of the kids that are fleeing Brasil were not even BORN during the "Dictatorship"? Please do remember that the "Dictatorship" lasted 21 years and ended on April 21, 1985. For 23 years since then, our kids have been having plenty of opportunities to exercise their rights as well as express their opinions freely to turn Brazil into a true democracy, contributing to building of a great nation. Why are not they doing and instead fleeing the country?

2) In another thread titled "What Brazil Can Learn from the US on Race and Education", I commented:

Before I comment further, I would like to invite some South African bloggers (if any) to tell us how the quality and accessibility of education during and after the "Apartheid".

Since you are a South African by birth, I would like your opinion on this.

Thanks and look forward to your comments.

On Prostitution... The Real Deal
written by dnbaiacu, March 11, 2008
I fail to understand all the hype about prostiitution.. It goes on and has gone on since the beginning of time in most nations that are not still tribal in nature.
From a purely statistical standpoint is Brazil appears to be disproportionately affected by this problem ,.But that only says that overall its female and male population that chooses to engage in this form of "commerce" are A LOT more intelligent with their sexuality overall than those unmarried sexually active populations of other nations.that chose to get nothing out of substance or "tangible" out of a sexual encounter , which is utltimately an expense of energy.
Developed countries that have the problem , only masked and hidden a lot better ,aren't any more less "disgusting".
Maybe the Brazilian "probem" just shows a conscious decision on the part of the prostitute that , "Hey, if I am going to have sex I might as well get paid for it".
Are the sexually active men , women and children, of more developed countries any smarter, or more moral ,for not demanding something more than a promise or an orgasm,,if that?!!!?
Who is being the smarter CAPITALIST if they aren't married? One can still get pregnant, catch STD's , and suffer emotionally not charging a penny. But again, who really is having sex without "some sort of transaction" emotional or otherwise. So if you are giving up your energy anyway, why not chare a euro or a dollar?
Further, does anyone think that these women or girls first sexual experience was with a john? .. I think not! All out prostitution is a conscious choice ,in most instances ,after already consenting to,or having sex forced on them. So prostitution really begins at home and in the community. Brasil is very open and accepting of adultery in all social classes.. This is the real issue. Address the culture before attacking the resulting problems. More developed countries just have more money to hide the effects of an immoral adulterous society.. That is the ONLY difference say between Brasil and any Western European country and the U.S.Better access to abortion and more effective forms of contraceptives.

Prostituiton is ultimately a CHOICE. No human has to participate in it to survive. No matter how poor they are. A beautiful virgin is going to command a higher price any day. And "SOMEONE" will find her worth enough to MARRY. The key is to KEEP that chasity .. Be proud of it . And advertise it.!!!Have the government try promoting these values for a change.
Brasil is blessed with a high proportion of beautiful people."Exotic," by European and North American standards .This is a fact.
If these people give themselves away for a dollar or a euro, no one can really control that overall
Yet fiscal policy can control that to greater degree. . Make Brasil "LESS AFFORDABLE" ! Johns come to Brazil simply because there is more beauty or youth for the price. Brasil is a BARGAIN. You are going to pay for sex either way it goes. Married men pay their wives all the time. It is just "convenient sex". Especially proven if he ends up being a cheater.
It's time to feel more sorry for unmarried people that "don't" have sex for money.
The powers that be in Brasil know that prostition of all kinds is part of the economy. And they have beautiful people to keep drawing an international crowd. THIS is why they turn their faces away. This has and has always been about the MONEY.
Again ,, change fiscal policy in Brasil , if possible. And the prostitution problem will take care of itself. Tourists will stay at home and deflower their own little girls and boys. Who in turn will sell themselves because it just makes better sense than to "give it away" on some cheap promise.

Further thought on Prostitution.
written by dnbaiacu, March 11, 2008
Duh?.....If prostitution is legal ( except for minors).. REGULATE IT! All prostitutes should be registered. Have a license of some sort. Non compliance will subject one to a fine or jail. Standardize the rates. SE VALORIZAR.!!!!! I say this all the time my cousins and friends smilies/wink.gif What a double standard! Legal , unregulated prostitution . Then cry about it as a problem.

Dictatorship and South Africa
written by Ivo, March 11, 2008

With regards to Dictatorship ...its impossible to think that the residual effects will disappear with the next generation. There is always a transitional period where economic stagnation will occur. Most often you will be in situations where foreign investment will be slow to enter the changing economy due to World perception. So generalized growth will be impaired to a degree. The other is the slow process of moving from centralized micro-economics to a broader economic structure due to the need to borrow money with unpredictable interest rates.
Dictatorships are plagued with favouritism and most often they will focus on what a country has in place with regards to skilled labourers. Its the easy route and results will be positive in the short term. But by implementing a focalized economic growth reforms the market develops a distorted industrial system benefiting only a few in big centers!! With time it changes but then other key problem is that every dictatorship driven economy will bring its "elite" that will consistently resist meaningful change! This resistance eventually collapses but not without a time delay in development and growth which will slow the next generation's rise. There are other factors involved such as trade deficits... the inevitable debt to fund internal development (with the added interest rates) and inflation.

With regards to South Africa the former goverments Social policy was flawed from the begining. The Apartheid policy as you will know was to create a (pseudo-)environment where different races could develop in a Segregated society . Sometimes I can't believe that the "Social Engineers" from the university of Stellenbosch ignored the obvious fact that their system was going to promote racial tension/hatred.
Let me give you the straight facts ....in Apartheid the white was the master. He had the clean school...highly qualified teachers and a scholastic curriculum of the highest standard. He went to School in his school's uniform and the education was holistic in terms of academics; sport etc...
May God forgive me for being so straight forward ...but the underlying dogma was that the whites (especially the Afrikaaners) were inferior to no one. And a lot of people lived by this ! Especially the Afrikaaners who suffered economically in the early 1900's .At one point there was even a degree of discrimination against the portuguese immigrants and refugees from the colonial wars in Angola and Mozambique.

I have to admit that when I was in University in Pretoria where the medium used was Afrikaans I experienced a degree of discrimination for being portuguese. My father wanted me to get the best education possible and the majority of the goverment's funding in those days was in Pretoria. So it was the obvious choice.
The goverment did provide schools and some universities (eg university of medunsa for medicine etc) to the black majority but it was always inferior to the white's educational facilities.

I thank God with all my heart that I spent almost 6 years of my childhood in the Island of Madeira where a few of my friends were of mixed race. I'm still convinced that my time in Madeira saved me and my brothers from becoming racists !

I could go on about Apartheid and the "Broederbond's social plan" but I'd spend my whole life in front of this computer.

João; I hope this answers your questions.

Don't you think that appears very unprofessional for him to be saying...."in my country"? Shouldn't he be saying, "In Brazil you are required to have A,B,C,D, etc?

Appears as if it's a personal issue, rather than an administrative one. LOL! smilies/cheesy.gif

"Padeçes"
written by Ivo, March 12, 2008
João...you're spot on ...its "Chorões" when used with humor knowadays but when it was first used it was to relate to the suffering of the Afrikaaners.
The name was used by the portuguese for the afrikaaners because in the 1900's after the 2nd Anglo-Boer War they struggled to survive. The Anglo-Boer War was a disaster for the Afrikaaners not only did they loose their official identity with the British expansion but they also lost their moral and many of their possesions and land.
The impetus of Apartheid was emotionally driven by the humiliation and the Radical (aggressive) hunger to overcome their suffering at the hands of the British after the Anglo-Boer War. The Afrikaaners were so desperate to develop an identity that they formed the "BroederBond" with the goal of ensuring economic and political prosperity.
It was never meant to target the Black poeple on its original proposal but to overcome the British dominion over the Afrikaaners/Boers !
Unfortunately as we all know ...in time the weaker unorganized groups got nailed!

You're probably wondering why the Afrikaaners hated the British....well let me summarize their reasons. The Afrikaaners had formed a Republic in the North of South Africa which was known as the "South African Republic (Transvaal Republic)". In the begining no one gave a rat's ass about the Republic but the minute Gold was discovered in 1886 within the Afrikaaner Republic the British Empire did everything to get control of it!

Lets just say that to some extent it was a scenario to go to War so Shocking and Unjust that the current Iraq crisis is a "minor blip" in comparison.....and why? Because there was no "Evil dictator " like Saddam Hussein in the Afrikaaner Republic and at no point was there a threat that the Afrikaaners would attack the BritishEmpire!
The British just wanted that Gold ...and hell did they get it....
At one point the British were actually starting to loose the War when Mozambique (Portugal) was allowing weapons etc to go through its territory to the Afrikaaner Republic. But Britain made a deal with Portugal that if they stopped helping the Afrikaaners they would help Portugal against Germany .(At the time Germany wanted to invade parts of the portuguese colonies of Mozambique and Angola) so Portugal agreed to shut the door!
And soon the British started to dominate....(but even then some portuguese secretly still helped the Afrikaaners but on a very small scale) ....but they were still struggling to beat the Afrikaaners/Boers . So they introduced to the World the "Concentration Camp" and the "Scorched Earth Policy" which many people think was the idea of Hitler! But in reality it was the British Empire's desperate attempt to destroy the Afrikaaners/Boers.
They took all the women and children from the Afrikaaners' farms and they locked them up in "filthy-unhygienic" Concentration camps.
About 93,940 Boers ( Boer =Afrikaans word for farmer) and 24,457 black Africans were locked up in these camps ....and many Died !!!

Continued ...Padeces....!
written by Ivo, March 12, 2008
CONTINUED

A report after the war concluded that 27,927 Boers (of whom 24,074 [50% of the Boer child population] were children under 16) had died of starvation, disease and exposure in the concentration camps. In all, about one in four (25%) of the Boer inmates, mostly children, died!!! And in the black camps.... It is thought that about 12% of black African inmates died (about 14,154) but the precise number of deaths of black Africans in concentration camps is unknown as little attempt was made to keep any records of the 107,000 black Africans who were interned.

The decision to use the Concentration camps ( by falsely calling them refugee camps ) and the Scorched Earth policy by burning the Afrikaaner farms was to was to try and isolate the Afrikaaner Guerrilas called the "
