Brazilian film Brazil's Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) and the Brazilian Association of Independent Producers of Television (ABPITV) promotes from today, September 30, to Thursday, October 2, at Pestana Copacabana Hotel, in Rio de Janeiro, workshops and business roundtables between Brazilian TV producers and foreign buyers.

The initiative according to the Apex, is part of the Brazilian TV Producers project and takes place at the Rio Market, a business area at the International Cinema Festival of Rio de Janeiro. The festival is going to end on October 9th in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

According to the Apex, the workshops and roundtables should include professionals in the audiovisual sector from Germany, Argentina, Canada, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Ireland, Japan, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. They are going to have meetings with 24 Brazilian producers.

Apart from the roundtables, whose objective is the sale of Brazilian productions abroad, there should also be talks by foreign specialists. The target is to show Brazilian companies how the foreign market works.

Among the speakers are Claire Aguilar, Program vice president at Independent Television Service (ITVS), of the United States, Ken MacDonald, Program vice president at the Discovery Channel in Canada, Walter Sucher, director of the science and education division at the Public TV of Germany, and Yves Jeanneau, documentary director at Telfrance International.

Very good "The target is to show Brazilian companies how the foreign market works. "

But instead of telling prospective buyers "come to us" you should "go to them" !
And this is done by sending sales people all over the world !

All Swiss companies have numerous sales people travelling the world around 6 - 8 months per year.
The contact is 10 times better when 1 on 1
And on a 1 on 1 visit people can talk more openly than in trade fairs. Many times these visits will even generate
new and better ideas and products. They will also provide the names of others potential buyers in the area.
And the goal is not only to sell but also just pay a courtesy visit and see what else you could/should do to sell more !!!!!

Communication, direct contacts in the targeted field, listening to what clients want, wish, expect...and then deliver is what sales is all about !!!!

Just ask a Swiss.
After all we shine in selling. Our exports per capita is 32,5 times higher than in Brazil.
Apart from Netherland who is also quite good, no one come even close.
And all our products have high added value, generating a far higher profit margin, and also generate well paid jobs !!!!

And your large companies should have a HIGH budget to advertise themselves and their products in various medias in the countries you target !
Just Look at Coca Cola, Nestlé, Philip Morris, Pepsi, Rolex, L'Oréal
None of them have cheap products when compared to their competition.
But they are the ones selling the most and with higher profits margin than those selling cheaper similar products !!!!

Without adequate marketing & advertising budgets and strategies you will go NOWHERE !!!!!

But please please stop Lula from meddling in sales !
His arrogance cost you sales !!!!
