Designate a controlled area for food drops and do it by HELICOPTER. Why are ports and airports obstacles??? !!!!

DnB, the gaffe committed by Monsieur. Antoine is not any different from that of Boris Casoy of TV Band on the New Years eve. If you scroll down, you will find an article with full details on this one. Antoine has been Consul General in S.Paulo for almost 35 years, like Boris Casoy has been a journalist for the same length of time. It is amazing that these two gentlemen of "breed" have the same opinion on their less fortunate brethren of their respective countries. However, I would say that they have a trait in common. Both are survivors and politically correct in front of the "authorities".

The main pier at the port has collapsed. The US Navy has 20 choppers with the USS Vincen standing by, but they have no supplies to airlift. The U.S. has supplied $3B for the relief effort. They have sent regular army troops and national guard. There are more than 30 containers waiting on the piers in Miami, but no way to send them by ship. Honestly, if you are smart enough to organize this effort better, why aren't you doing anything besides sitting at a computer using your fingers to bash the efforts of others. You can claim others should be doing more, and doing a better job, and that they aren't willing to put enough money on the table, but how much have you sent to Haiti? What have you done to help?

Wrong. It has pledged $100 Millions. Brasil has pledged $15 M. Both countries are doing a splendid job. Brasil has one advantage though. Our military personnel have been in that country for a long time and have complete rapport with the locals. They have lots of initiative and don't have to wait for the orders from Brasilia.FAB can send as many planes as they want from their base in RR. No problem with logistics. It is a joint effort by two giants in the Americas to help a tiny devastated nation and I have no complaints as a Tax payer, provided the politicos do not try to make political gain over a tragedy.

However, I am chagrined at the French who have promised just $3.8 Millions to Haiti and not a single word from the German Government!! On the contrary, I am pleased that the Chinese are there without much fanfare and so are the Israelis.

And quite a few "experts" have questioned the coordination up until now. There is a lot of embarrassing red tape and beaurocracy that is not being mentioned on popular media that has held a lot up.

1 historians - Where did the first humans come from ? What proof is there of their first existance.
